I thought the day would never come, but alas, FALL IS FINALLY UPON US! I’m beyond ready to pull out my tacky oversized sweaters & bask in the crisp fall breeze, chill by a bonfire with a warm cup of spiked cider, and watch Hocus Pocus on repeat until Halloween is over. (It never gets old.)
This time of year also blesses us with fabulous autumnal color palettes, like the beautiful marigold hue pictured in this woven drop waist dress. The New York Fashion Week F/W ’17 runways showcased various shades of yellow, making it the color du jour for fashion bloggers everywhere this season. What I love most about this dress is that it’s extremely versatile. I could wear it over a pair of skinny jeans to keep the look fashion forward, or I could style the dress with a fitted turtleneck, a pair of heels and a cute head scarf for a cutesy brunch date. In this case, I wanted to put together an outfit that I could wear to work, so I paired the dress with quirky accessories like this dinosaur print blouse, a leather black cat bag, and suede kitty flats, as well as my pink wig and oversized glasses in order to stay on brand™ of course. I love love love how everything turned out! My only recommendations for this outfit would be to 1) size up, as this dress runs a tad small and 2) the dress is very fitted so make sure anything you layer with can lay flat underneath, otherwise you’ll end up with lumps.
