Recently I have connected with some amazing ladies to revitalize the Dandy Blog. I have always wanted to create a fun, enthusiastic, and creative space to talk about anything from baking to fashion to whatever seems to pop into our heads. Being stretched a little thin I thought about how we could do this and keep the posts fun with fresh content on a weekly basis. So I reached out to some talented friends of mine that have helped us in the past with everything from photography to collaborations, and illustrations. This new adventure is a great way to bring together like-minded creatives that have so much spunk, personality, and style. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us! So without further adieu I would like you to meet the new members of the Dandy Blogging team!
KRISTEN of Cats in My Closet |Monachopsis Fashion MagazineKristen “KiKi” Milford is an intersectional feminist, budding fashion stylist, and pro list-maker. She’s the CEO & Creative Director for Cats in My Closet, a style blog, and Editor-in-Chief of Monachopsis, a fashion magazine with an emphasis on representation. When she’s not glued to a computer screen, she can be found chatting with the street cats that run rampant in downtown Charleston (she’s fluent in feline, you know.)
JOANNE NGUYEN- Illustrator/Artist/Creator: @eskijoart
I like to describe myself in a combination of adjectives: silly, but reserved. Introverted, but bold. Opinionated, but shy. Overwhelmed. Stressed out. Plant-lover but also plant-killer so by default, plant-admirer. Above all, I’m a creator. I live for creativity. I thrive in it. I’m currently a web designer for two companies and a content creator for a small creative service business. I’m a sucker for perfectly composed pictures, natural lighting, the color blush, and coffee shop interiors. I call myself an extreme hobbyist because I take hobbies so seriously and I take on so many hobbies. I want to do everything. I’m a photographer, artist, designer, fashionista, and overall, a human bean trying to make it in this world. I’ll be mainly blogging about DIY projects, art, and fashion.
Helllllo, I’m Emily! I was born and raised in coastal Maine and then spent about 8 years in good ole’ Charleston! You may recognize my face from working at Dandy Boutique back in the day 😉 I have since relocated to cloudy, rainy, moody Seattle. Last fall I started a baking blog project called My Floury Things! (www.myflourythings.com) I wanted a way to combine my love of baking with photography and so my blog was born. When I’m not baking and photographing my creations in my dim-lit city apartment, I am working and climbing at my local bouldering gym, Seattle Bouldering Project!
MADISON HERSHFIELD- Dandy Sales Associate | College of Charleston StudentMy name is Madison Hershfield, and I am originally a Bay Area Californian. I moved to South Carolina a few years ago and now call Charleston home. Being an undergraduate at the College of Charleston, I have had the opportunity to find myself always roaming the streets, finding new shops and not to mention, the BEST coffee. I am majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a minor in Business Administration. I am hoping my current path allows me to travel, meet new people, and obviously shop all over the world 😍 Come see me at Dandy Boutique and say hi!
We can’t wait for this next part of our Dandy adventure and we hope you join us on the ride! If you are interested in collaborating or being a guest blogger please feel free to e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org
